CHILDREN'S CHORUSES
For students in grades 4 – 8 in 2013-2014:
Singers who audition for the children's chorus (grades 4-8) will audition with CCGD Artistic Director, Cynthia Nott. Ms. Nott's intent is to make the audition experience very friendly and interactive, positive, fun and non-threatening. They will sing back and forth, echo each other, shape their mouths in different ways, read a little paragraph out loud and learn a little song. The audition lasts between 5 & 10 minutes. All auditions will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1928 Ross Avenue or at the CCGD offices, 400 N. St. Paul Street Suite 510.
YOUTH CHORUSES
For young men and women in grades 9-12 in 2013-2014:
These auditions, for high school women and men, conducted by either Ms. Henson or Ms. Pfaffenberger, will consist of singing basic vocalises, a short sight reading exercise and singing a prepared piece (UIL appropriate) or favorite hymn of your choosing. An accompanist will be provided. Bring the score, book or sheet music for the accompanist. Pre-recorded accompaniments are not appropriate for this setting.All auditions will be held at First United Methodist Church, 1928 Ross Avenue or at the CCGD offices, 400 N. St. Paul Street Suite 510.
