American Choral Directors Association’s (ACDA) National Convention

The Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas (CCGD) has been selected to sing at the American Choral Directors Association National Convention to be held next March in Oklahoma City. Over 4,000 choral directors from across the United States will hear CCGD’s Concert I Chorus, with Artistic Director Cynthia Nott conducting, perform twice on the closing day of that event. Concert I, comprised of 80 6th through 8th grade boys and girls from across Greater Dallas, will be presenting a 25-minute program which includes the works of Bob Chilcott, J.S. Bach, Gerald Finzi, and American composers Charles Ives, Alice Parker and Aaron Copland. Being selected to sing at ACDA is one of the highest honors in the choral field. Over 300 choirs applied through a blind audition process, 20 were selected, including just 2 children’s choruses.
