James C. Emery, Concert II Accompanist
James C. Emery joined CCGD as accompanist in 2005. From 1999–2006, he served at Tyler Street United Methodist Church in Dallas. Since 2006, he has served as Director of Music & Fine Arts Ministries at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, where his weekly worship responsibilities include leadership at multiple Sunday services with the eighty-voice Lovers Lane Sanctuary Choir. Mr. Emery serves on the accompanying staff of several acclaimed vocal ensembles in the Dallas community, including the Texas Voices and One Voice Metro Artists with tenor Scot Cameron. He also performs with flutist Sabrina Trujillo in the eclectic duo Pas de Deux and as an accompanist and vocal coach for the Dallas and Cedar Hill ISD.
Mr. Emery holds a Master of Music degree in Music Education with a Concentration in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy and Music Education the MeadowsSchool of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. While at SMU, he studied piano with Alfred Mouledous and choral conducting with Dr. Alfred Calabrese and Dr. Barbara Brinson.
