Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas

Parents can support their children's activities in chorus in several ways.

Ushers

Ushers are responsible for handing out programs, collecting tickets, and manning the publicity table at our concerts. These parents need to be ready to help at the "Call Time" of our concerts, which is the time the children are required to be present.

Business Office Help

Help needed for a variety of office needs, including mailings, filing, telephone calls, and other related support duties. Help needed during Monday rehearsals and occasionally during the week.

Performance Chaperones

Various positions from chaperoning children from front door of performance hall to supervising children backstage during performances and checking attire, etc. Chaperones will be rotated so everyone is involved.

Rehearsal Monitors

One monitor per rehearsal is needed. A team of 5 volunteers per choir will cover each month for the chorus year. Monitor the children’s behavior in the hallway, bathroom and rehearsal room. Assist director as needed. Assist if child becomes ill, or has other needs. You choose one or more Monday nights per month and rotate with your choir team members.

Merchandise

Volunteers will help sell and distribute t-shirts, CD’s and other merchandise during rehearsals and concerts. Ticket Sales - Sell tickets for upcoming concerts during rehearsals and on the evening of each concert.

Stage Crew

These industrious people will set up and take down the equipment needed for the performances, including music stands, chairs, risers, or microphone stands. You won’t be lifting any pianos~! You must need to be the helpful sort and be able to assist at dress rehearsals and performances.

Hospitality/Party Person

Help is needed when snacks are served at CCGD rehearsals or other events. Volunteers are needed for each chorus. Banquet - At the end of the year we hold a banquet to celebrate our year of music. Help is needed with reservations, decorations, and hostess.
