Neighborhood Chorus Program

The Children's Chorus has historically been an audition-only choir. Recently, CCGD added the Neighborhood Choir Program (NCP). NCP is free to participants and is a partnership between CCGD and school music programs. NCP brings CCGD's nationally acclaimed music education to underserved areas and develops talent in the classroom. Singers that complete the program receive training that enables them to have a competitive audition for the downtown choir.
NCP rehearsals are during the school day. NCP performances include one concert with the downtown choirs at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and in-school performances though out the year.
The current NCP choirs are:
2 choirs - West Dallas Community School 4th - 5th grade singers.
1 choir - St. Mary of Carmel 4th - 5th grade singers.
