Summer Singing Camp
Led by Artistic Director Cynthia Nott and CCGD conductor Kimberley Ahrens, Summer Singing Camp is an introductory program that serves 150 students in grades 3–7 each year, providing small and large group instruction in basic vocal technique, music theory, score reading, and rehearsal skills. Current CCGD students in grades 9–12 also serve as junior counselors and rehearsal assistants, gaining valuable leadership skills. The camp culminates in a free performance for family and friends. CCGD waives the $125 tuition fee for DISD and Circle of Support students; in summer 2014, 64% of participants attended at no charge.
