Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas

Terrie McKenzie Preskitt joined CCGD in 2003. As Assistant Conductor, she conducts the Apprentice Chorus and assists with Concert II. Preskitt is Coordinator of Children’s Music and voice instructor for the TowerArts Conservatory at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Previously, she taught elementary music at Hillside Academy for seven years. She has been the soprano section leader for the Orpheus Chamber Singers since its inception. A private vocal instructor, she has coached more than twelve All-State Choir Members. She has sung as a soloist in recitals, concerts and oratorios around the United States, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, England and Italy .

Preskitt holds the Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Vocal Performance degrees from Texas Christian University (magna cum laude). She is also a Level III-certified Orff-Schulwerk instructor and utilizes this philosophy in her teaching.
