Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas

2010 TOUR OVERVIEW

WHEN: June 23-27, 2010

WHERE: Washington, D.C.

WITH WHOM: San Antonio children's and youth singers

ELIGIBILTIY: All Concert I, Women's and Youth Chorus singers and Concert II 7th and 8th graders.

COST: Estimate $1,400 per person. This number could change by 5% and includes everything but a singer's personal spending (snacks, souvenirs, etc.).

CLINICIANS: Joan Gregory, Artistic Director of the Washington Children's chorus for treble choirs. Dr. Barbara Baker, recently retired conductor of 5 high school choirs (including a Gospel choir) at Eleanor Roosevelt High School for high school choirs.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Working with outstanding clinicians
• A joint concert, which will also include the Washington Children's Chorus
• A dinner and dancing Potomac cruise
• Lots of sightseeing
• Attending a TBD show

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

TOTAL COST: Estimate $1,400 all inclusive (except singer's personal spending)

LAND ONLY: Subtract $285 per person. Note that you are responsible for hooking your child up with the tour.

TOUR CREDITS: May be used for any payment

TOUR ASSISTANCE: CCGD board has authorized $4,000. Tour assistance may NOT be used for intial payment and not more than half of any subsequent payment.

OTHER INFORMATION

About 225 singers eligible

Singers stay 4 to a room, 3-star hotel

Expect about 100 to participate

Need about 3 male and 9 female chaperones plus a nurse (chaperones stay in double rooms)

Depending on numbers there may be some packages available to families. Note that there is a supplemental charge for less than 4 to a room
