Terrie Preskitt-Brown
CONCERT II CHORUS CONDUCTOR

Terrie Preskitt-Brown joined the CCGD conducting staff in 2003 leading the Apprentice Chorus. In 2013, she became conductor of Concert II. She has prepared choruses to sing under the batons of Maestro Jaap Van Zweden and John Rutter. She devotes her full-time energy to creating a comprehensive voice studio including private voice lessons for 6th graders thru adults, recitals, master classes, and intensives (TPB Voice).
Ms. Preskitt has been active as a choral director for many years: 12 years teaching 1st – 9th grade in Texas schools, 14 years in full-time church music, and has taught voice lessons for 25 years. She has coached more than 50 students to the All State Choirs for TMEA and TPSMEA, many of whom have been CCGD members. She has sung as a soloist in recitals, concerts and oratorios around the United States, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, England, and Italy, and for 20 years was the Soprano Section Leader for Orpheus Chamber Singers.
Ms. Preskitt-Brown earned the Bachelor of Music Education and the Bachelor of Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University (magna cum laude). She is a Level III-certified Orff-Schulwerk instructor and utilizes this philosophy in all of her teaching. Professional Organizations include NATS, TMEA, TCDA, ACDA.
